This 6-week introductory course is about teaching you how to train your dog. In Grade One, you'll be learning the theory and techniques of clicker training while your puppy or dog learns good manners and basic obedience skills:

• Attention
• Sit
• Down
• Loose-leash walking
• Leave It
• Targeting to a mat
• Targeting to hand/object
• Recall
• Greeting behaviour (sit instead of jumping on visitors)
• Safety exercise (not to run out an open door)

Students will be given a nylon hands-free training leash, treat bag, and clicker.

There is one class each week. The first class of Grade One will be a 2-hour orientation session (for people only); all other classes (with dogs) will last approximately one hour.
